He said that the security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation after receiving specific information about the presence of terrorists in Mithrigam, Pulwama in South Kashmir.

According to the official, the search operation turned into a confrontation when the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. The security forces also give an appropriate response to the shooting of the terrorists. According to the official, the exchange of fire between the terrorists and the security forces is continuing and no casualties have been reported on either side so far.
